First up on Wednesday is The Devil Whale, a Salt Lake City group whose psych-tinged pop-rock is tightly wound, bouncy and catchier than Velcro. For those of you with extensive record collections, this band is like one part Dr. Dog's throwback pop soul, one part The Head and The Heart's easy, mellow folk and one part Midlake's band-geeks-jamming-in-the-basement vibe.
The Devil Whale's newest album “Teeth” is on full display at www.thedevilwhale.bandcamp.com. Go there now and listen. It's good stuff.
